Ligada iSuite is a comprehensive and highly automated HbbTV Test Harness. It is fully compatible with the Official HbbTV Test Suite, and includes a rich suite of additional test cases. Ligada iSuite test reports enable manufacturers to officially register as HbbTV compliant and use the official logo.
Ligada iSuite for HbbTV
Ligada iSuite enables interoperability and conformance testing for HbbTV hybrid digital TV receivers. It consists of the Ligada Test Server, a test harness for managing and delivering HbbTV test applications including the Official HbbTV Test Suite; and the Ligada Test Suite, a complete suite of HbbTV test cases which also supports new platform-specific HbbTV profiles as they are introduced. Ligada enables CE manufacturers and operators to certify their HbbTV receivers, and has been specifically designed to test the areas where interoperability problems have so far been the greatest for HbbTV.
Ligada iSuite includes its own test cases in addition to the official HbbTV Test Suite, which cover specific problem areas of interoperability including robustness, network resilience, advanced AV functionality and terminal capability tests. Additional test coverage is provided for Dolby Digital Plus over IP, including a variety of channel configurations and use cases, as well as delivery within MP4, MPEG-TS and MPEG-DASH containers. Ligada iSuite also includes an HbbTV v1.5 test suite, including MPEG-DASH adaptive streaming and EIT schedule access tests. Ligada iSuite supports new platform-specific HbbTV profiles as they are introduced, beginning with the French TNT2.0 profile.

The HbbTV Experts
HbbTV is an industry standard which harmonises the delivery of entertainment through broadcast and broadband. Digital TV Labs is an active member of the HbbTV Consortium and the highest single contributor to the Official HbbTV Test Suite, with over 40% of the test cases authored by our HbbTV Development Engineers. We work closely with the other HbbTV members and HbbTV profile platform operators at a number of the plug-fest interoperability workshops, in order to ensure full test coverage for Ligada iSuite.
Since no conformance regime is in place yet, some applications make assumptions about receiver behaviour that does not comply with the HbbTV specification. We are experts on HbbTV and can provide in-depth advice regarding receiver behaviour. We provide 'real world' testing services, which are critical to ensure receivers perform correctly in the field and provide a positive user experience.
